Jade phillips

Jade Phillips is an emerging contemporary figurative artist based in Austin, Texas. Her work explores selfhood and perception through kaleidoscopic, aqueous portraits. She received a BFA from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in 2016 and an MFA from Eastern Illinois University in 2018. Phillips has exhibited in galleries throughout Illinois and Colorado.

Her paintings combine hyper-realistic detail with abstract intensity, capturing the fleeting moment of self-recognition. Using vibrant greens, pinks, blues, and yellows, she creates watery reflections that blend the figure with the background, symbolizing the inner life of her subjects.
